Our Fleet
Three flying groups, one single standard: general aviation, microlights and gliders.
Training, mountain and cross-country machines, all available to members
at the “Arturo Dell'Oro” airfield in Belluno.
General Aviation
High-wing and low-wing aircraft for PPL training, type conversions, glider aerotowing
and mountain flying.
I-BLAE
Piper PA-28 Cadet
The aircraft of our powered flight school. Built in 1989, with a
160 HP Lycoming engine, fixed-pitch propeller and fixed gear; airframe
and engine have recently been returned to zero hours. Easy to handle,
well suited to training and leisure flying.

I-RIKJ
Piper PA-28 Archer II
A high-performing low-wing aircraft with a 160 HP Lycoming engine,
fixed-pitch propeller and fixed gear. It is fully equipped for IFR
flight and is the platform for our more advanced courses.
Advanced training · IFR
D-EBCB
Cessna C-172K
Together with the PA-28 it is the trainer used for type conversions
and for the variable-pitch propeller rating, as well as the aircraft
members take on touring flights.

I-ESML
Aviat Husky A-1-180
Used for tailwheel ratings. With its 180 HP it is particularly suited
to mountain flying, it tows the gliders, and it can operate from short
and sloping strips (STOL).

I-ZARY
Maule MX-7-180
A touring aircraft, suitable for long trips as well, and our glider
tug. STOL capability: it takes off and lands on short strips.
Touring · glider aerotowing · STOL
Microlight Flying (VDS)
Two Tecnam P-92 Echo aircraft for the microlight school: among the most widely
flown microlights in the world, reliable and inexpensive to operate.
I-9865
Tecnam P-92 Echo
Very reliable, it combines easy handling with thoroughly respectable
performance: an excellent trainer, and the aircraft students begin on
in our microlight school.
Microlight training
I-8982
Tecnam P-92 Echo
Fitted with a 100 HP Rotax engine and a three-blade variable-pitch
propeller. Its high cruise speed makes it well suited to long-range
flights.

Gliders
The fleet of the largest gliding community in the Dolomites: two-seat trainers,
club single-seaters and cross-country machines.
I-IVWM
Schleicher ASK-21
The travelling companion that has raised generations of pilots. The
ASK21 is the training glider that took us from our first tentative
touches on the controls all the way to our first solo, turning emotion
into skill. Strong, dependable, forgiving: in an instructor’s
hands it is a safe guide, in an experienced pilot’s it becomes an
ally that gives real satisfaction from one thermal to the next. To all
of us it is still the legendary “Whiskey Mike”, the glider
that taught us to fly.
A two-seat trainer in the aerobatic category (from +6.5 to −4.0 g)
and notably stable. Glide ratio 34 at 90 km/h with two pilots and at
85 km/h solo; maximum speed 280 km/h, manoeuvring speed 180 km/h.

D-5895
Schempp-Hirth Janus B
Our flagship two-seater. It combines high performance in speed and glide efficiency with advanced management of the flight parameters through the use of flaps. Demanding at first, but ideal for mentoring, it lets pilots learn the technique and the right mindset for cross-country flying.

D-7849
DG-300
The flagship glider of our club: advanced aerodynamics and excellent
performance. It asks for attentive, prompt handling, because it is an
honest aircraft: it answers at once and demands precision, but in
return it gives immense satisfaction to whoever can bring out its
qualities. This is the glider for those moving into performance
flying, where technique, feel and decision start to make the real
difference.
A single-seater designed by Wilhelm Dirks and built by Glaser-Dirks
from 1983 in more than 500 examples, still widely flown as a
competition glider in the lower classes and in club contests.

D-0740
Rolladen-Schneider LS1-f
When the horizon is no longer enough. The pilot who has found his feet
looks further and further out, helped by this fine aircraft that
combines easy handling with advanced performance. It is the link
between flying by improvisation and instinct and flying that is
planned, aimed at steadily improving one’s own ability.
A single-seater from the late 1960s, a winning design from the very
start. Wingspan 15 m, length 6.75 m, wing area 9.75 m²; glide
ratio 38.5, stall at 70 km/h, VNE 250 km/h, retractable gear. The
“f” version introduced the one-piece canopy and all glass
fibre construction.

D-7406
Grob Astir CS
The glider on which a newly qualified pilot can build on what was
learned in ground school, meeting the practical side of flying out in
the field but always in safety. An excellent starting point that opens
onto the endless world of cross-country flying, together with the thrill
of those first flights in a single-seater.
A standard class single-seater designed in 1974, which became the
ideal machine for clubs across Europe thanks to its strength and
simplicity of use. Retractable gear, glide ratio 34, stall at only
59 km/h.
Single-seat · first cross country
D-7226
Grob Astir CS
The fleet’s second Astir CS, twin of D-7406: a Standard Class
single-seater with a retractable undercarriage, a glide ratio of 34 and
a stall at 59 km/h. Having two of the same type means that on a good day
two pilots can fly together without waiting their turn, and that anyone
checked out on one is already ready on the other.
